The South Bronx is facing an unprecedented housing crisis that has forced thousands of native residents to leave the city. We need to ensure protections for all renters, not just ones in rent-stabilized apartments, and to empower the Division of Housing and Community Renewal to hold landlords and developers accountable.

 

Furthermore, home prices in Westchester and Manhattan absurdly continue to determine the price of “affordable housing” in The Bronx. Amanda will advocate for the changing Area Median Income formula, so that South Bronx residents can have a fair shot at fair housing.
